Cisco Expands Cloud Partner Network with Microsoft Azure Integration

Cisco and Microsoft announced a technology integration effort today that promises to expand the options of Cisco’s cloud service provider partners, allowing them to more easily tap Microsoft Azure cloud computing resources.

Cisco currently has more than 60 partners centered on its Intercloud effort, which is based on the OpenStack cloud architecture. This new technology integration effort with Microsoft will expand on Cisco’s Intercloud effort by facilitating partner use of Microsoft’s proprietary Azure infrastructure…


Intercloud is a Cisco effort, first announced back in January 2014, that provides solutions for cloud service providers. The program is supposed make it easier for them to deliver public, private and hybrid cloud computing services…
