EMC expands Atmos for cloud service providers

The EMC Atmos Cloud Delivery Platform (ACDP), announced Tuesday, adds a host of modules that will allow Atmos customers to turn the storage product into a storage-as-a-service platform without having to write their own metering, management, utilization and billing modules.

Enomaly launches online cloud computing market

Enomaly has launched a compute market that will let anyone shop for low cost, no-frills compute power offered by a variety of providers. The company, which offers software that cloud services providers use, came up with the idea as a way to help its customers fill up unused capacity.

There are currently 15 cloud providers offering their services through the SpotCloud market. Enomaly is offering the market as a beta right now to make sure that it can handle requests, so end users must register and be approved before they can buy services.

BlueLock and VMware Partner on New Cloud Services

Cloud hosting and managed IT services provider BlueLock announced its partnership with VMware last week at VMworld. The announcement coincides with the beta availability of a new cloud service, called VMware vCloud Datacenter Service.

According to BlueLock, it is one of three companies offer the vCloud Datacenter Service beta.
