Minister for the Cabinet Office and the UK Government's leading voice on cloud computing, Francis Maude, will be one of over 150 expert speakers presenting at this year's Cloud Computing World Forum 2012 (http://www.cloudwf.com/) on 12 and 13 June.

With cloud computing so high on the public sector agenda in 2012, Mr Maude will head a long list of influential governmental figures at the show, including CIO for UK Government, Andy Nelson, CIO for City of London, Bill Limond, CIO for the United Nations, Naginder Dhanoa, and Acting Deputy Director General (DG INFSO) for the European Commission, Megan Richards.

The UK Government recently announced major changes to its IT procurement process, with the much-publicised G-Cloud initiative and online CloudStore officially launched yesterday by Francis Maude.

With a second round of procurement due within the coming months and a number of issues still related to the on-going development of governmental cloud services, the Cloud Computing World Forum promises to be a vital platform for both public and private sector decision-makers to come together and debate the future of cloud.

Mark Johnstone, Director of Keynote, the organiser of the forum said:

"The use of cloud services in the public sector has been a key topic of discussion since we held our very first Cloud Computing World Forum, four years ago.

"However, this year the debate has intensified - governments, not just in the UK but across the continent, are looking to new methods for procurement and more commonly, to cloud computing for answers to their IT concerns. Luckily our agenda has been developed to reflect these issues and cover all the relevant bases."

After a hugely successful 2011 show which saw the conference established as Europe's highest attended cloud event, the 2012 Cloud Computing World Forum promises to be even bigger, with over 4,000 IT decision-makers anticipated through the doors at its new home - Earls Court, London.

The seminar agenda will be held across 8 theatres covering all of the latest topics such as SaaS, Security, Big Data, PaaS, Mobile, Public Sector, Virtualization, Communications, Social CRM and more.

Alongside leading lights from the public sector, the list of 150 expert speakers featuring at the event will also include other top names such as CTO for Amazon, Werner Vogels CISO & VP for eBay, Dave Cullinane, and Former CEO for Pepsico and Apple Inc, John Sculley.

Delegates attending the Cloud Computing World Forum will also have access to the exhibition hall of over 120 global exhibitors. Reading like a who's who of the enterprise IT industry, the major players will all be in attendance displaying their latest and most innovative cloud technology.
