Accenture has announced the launch of a brand new cloud platform with the vision of supporting SAP applications that enable businesses to shift to a cost effective private cloud infrastructure…

With this new service, SAP customers can easily shift their existing Enterprise Resource Planning software, as well as all the Business Warehouse data warehousing mechanisms, to a more suitable private cloud.

For this, Accenture is exploiting the FlexPod architecture that blends the NetApp storage platform with the networking hardware manufacturer Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS), as well as Red Hat Linux, VMWare Virtualization etc., the company stated.

"We’re pleased to be taking our relationship with SAP to an even greater level of commitment by sharpening and deepening our focus in this strategic growth area," said Kevin Campbell, Accenture Technology group chief executive in a statement, as reported by CBR Online.

Meanwhile, Chakib Boundary, the Value Engineering chief strategy and value officer executive vice president, expressed his opinion by saying: "The Accenture private cloud solution will further empower our customers by providing a direct path to new innovations from SAP in areas including analytics, in-memory and mobility technology."
